Kelley can you provide a few more details about your event?
Trying to do a raffle and have the proceeds go towards the charity at hand. Right now Im hoping it will be Fuse. Families United for Support and Education. Roy and I are working together but I thought if you or someone else knew of some very
helpful tips that would be great!
From a copywriting/marketing perspective, I would say that you need to work on marketing the event relatively early on. The more people who know about the event, the more successful it will be. Press releases can be your very best friend. I send them out for a variety of businesses and non-profits and we almost always have success with them. Don't forget about radio stations, too. In marketing for a country gospel singing group, I post the concert dates on both secular and Christian radio stations in the area. A well written press release can go a long way and garner free publicity. Another free advertisement is church bulletins and newsletters. You can include a flyer that would serve as a bulletin insert that churches can photocopy and distribute.

For something education related, I'd say make up a flyer, postcard or letter and get it into the hands of local school administrators. If you mail it to them, then follow up with a phone call within the next week. Flyers are often good because they can be photocopied and distributed.

Hope this helps at least a little!
Thank You so much! I had not thought of this and I believe I will give you a call later if you dont mind to see if you would be up to helping me with the press releases. I have just never had to do one.
This would be a great topic of conversation at a Marketing Team meeting.
Close to Thanksgiving I always like to find a way to give thanks not from just a business standpoint but a personal standpoint as well. I feel very blessed to have such great people in my life to do business with and
to fellowship with. I hope we all take time now and again to give thanks even when the market is down or something doesnt go the way we would have pictured it.
