How did you come up with your childrens names?

Eli is 4 and I wish I can say it was a lighting rod moment. We went through all of the books and other publications people suggest. An interesting suggest was using a last name as the first. So we even looked through the phone book. Thus the name, Eli White Pages Winebrenner.

Actually we then compiled all the names we both liked and began to eliminate using multiple filters. Mainly we just vetoed one another choices. My wife was a long time school teacher so it was hard to find a name that did not stimulate a negative experience she had with a child of that name.

We both agreed on Eli liking the fact that he has a short first to go with a long last name. I wanted a middle name starting with "J" because the men in my family all have one.

We also liked the fact the Eli in the Old Test was a teacher/priest and overall man of God. Bad parent but good man.

My oldest daughter was named after and actress I saw in Germany.
My oldest son was named after his dad, we call him Tre for the third.

My next daughter is named after my grandpa and my husbands grandma.

And my youngest was named after two great movies, pure country and 8 secs. I know, I know you should not name your kids after movies but oh well. He is wyatt Lane :)
