Sometimes planning an event at any capacity may seem a little intimidating. I couldn't agree more! There are so many things to think of and somethings that pop up you never even thought about!!

If I may suggest one thing that you do is to GET ORGANIZED!!!! The more organized you are, the better off you will be! There is less stress and problems when you've organized things from the beginning!

To get this discussion rolling, what are some of the things that helped you with organizing your event? What are some of the things you found that did not work so well?

For me, EXCEL did wonders for me to stay and keep organized!!!

Great advise about getting organized - I'm a list maker and that really helps me . I would add start planning early, do as much as you can to get things done well in advance so you avoid the last minute rush, keep communication flowing with everyone involved, and remember to enjoy your event. If it's a party or a business event - make it fun!
