Developing an Attitude of Gratitude

I heard a preacher tell of a visit he made to a hospital. A young girl, who was a member of his congregation, was there going through a series of tests to determine whether or not she had cancer. The doctors suspected that she did have cancer. As it finally turned out, she did not, but at the time the minister called on her, the doctors had not received any of the reports from any of the tests, but the preliminary indications were that she did have a malignant tumor. He remembered something…

You're the Daddy, Fix It!

When my middle son, Ryan, was a little boy (he will be 27 this month - gee, I'm getting old!), he had a little toy pony that somehow got one of its legs broken off. He brought the broken leg and the pony to me. As I held the two pieces in my hands, I asked him what he wanted me to do. He said, "Fix it.” I looked at the two pieces again, and…

To prune the network for growth, I have deleted and rebuilt the State of Kentucky Group. Please join that group as soon as possible and read more about this topic on the group page.

Dan,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I am not accustomed to frequently using this networking technology . . . yet.

We currently outsource our billing and are finding that we may take it back. Too much is dependent upon office notes, correct DX codes and CPT codes and we must spend a lot of time communicating back and forth. The idea was to save money and time in labor and speed up pay. That has not necessarily been the case and I here similar stories from colleagues.

Quite honestly, having just dealt with some billing companies that are out of state as a patient of a local facility which erred on our bills, the disconnect between the two made a bad problem worse. So, I am quite hesitant about doing something with an out of state outfit even if I did continue to outsource.

We also have a collections company that does well. It is owned/operated by a friend from church.

Thanks!
-- Roc
