With the Gift of His Love

Our attitude is our own creation and, like it or not, it will be passed on to generations to come. God didn't make any mistakes. The gift of His love and the privilege to share it with others belongs to all of us. It begins with an atittude - an optimistic attitude. It is supported by an outlook that anticipates good things and a determination to influence the world around us in a postive way.See More

Mother's Day is May 9. What do you most appreciate about your moms?

I just read something that said Americans will spend 14.6 billion dollars on Mother's Day gifts this year.  I suspect tht most of our mothers would love something that expressed our love and appreciation.  If you had to name just one thing that you most appreciate about your mom what would that one thingt be? See More

I'm Working on a Presentation on Goal Setting and Creative Thinking

I'm working on a presentation for a networking group that I belong to in South Bend, Indiana on the subject "Effective Goal Setting, Moving Your Business to the Next Level in 2010"  To that end, I've been doing a lot of thinking and some reseach on the subject.  Although I am a huge believer in the importance of Goal Setting, I was surprised to find out that only 3% of us actually set goals and use them to propel our business and our lives.  It seems part of the challenge is not only the need…See More

The Dash (Linda Ellis)

Posted on December 1, 2009 at 7:49pm 0 Comments

I once read of a man who stood to speak

At the fueral of a friend.

He referred to the dates on her tombstone

From the beginning....to the end.

He noted that first came her date of birth

And spoke the following date wtih tears,

But he said what mattere most of all

Was "the dash between the years."

For that dash represents all the time

She spent alive on earth...

And now only those who loved her

Know what that little line is… Continue

Thank you all for being a part of this great group. What can we do to make today a great day for ourselves or for someone else? Share your thoughts and ideas.

Thank you for the information on the network Karen. I do not know if you recall but we did meet at Chocolate and Blues. I was interested to learn more about your book. Let me know when you are in the INdy area and when I am going north I will see if we cannot connect, (although it could be difficult for my husband, a Boiler, to let me go near Notre Dame) Actually he has been to a few Purdue football games there and says it is beautiful! (FYI I am an Illini). Looking forward to getting to know you. Sincerely Julie Carson

Hi, Karen... Thank you SO MUCH for choosing me as one of your new friends! You're right, we are both committed to the issues facing today's Baby Boomers!. Yes, I'll be at the CBB Festival on Sept 9; but, it may be difficult for us to talk there. Perhaps we can connect before then. Do you get to Indy often? Give me a call (317/295-8701). I can best be reached most days after 2:30p... Sheri
