[Pittsburgh, PA, December 3, 2008] – Michele Conti, owner and founder of the Inspiretees™ line of women’s apparel, is announcing the launching of Inspiretees.com. The site features “The Verses” collection of shirts, with Love, Joy, Peace, Hope, Respect, or Truth, spelled out prominently across the fronts, in Swarovski crystals, and short, complementary Bible verses written in smaller letters along the hemlines.
“This is a giant step forward for my company,” says Conti. “I’ve been working toward this for over a year, exhibiting these shirts at fashion shows, bridal fairs, and in front of church groups.”
Earlier this year, Michele asked a friend from her church to host a party to sell the shirts. “I didn’t know what to expect,” she says, “but I figured that it couldn’t hurt to try it. I could not have imagined what a huge success it would be!”
Before long, she had a great number of people wanting to host Inspiretees™ home parties, which now account for a large percentage of her sales. Conti says, “The response has been so overwhelming, I can barely keep up with the orders!”
Michele is not complaining, however, and is looking forward to being even more inundated, with the introduction of her website. “It’s taken a lot of work to get here,” she says, “but I thrive on hard work.”
An accomplished seamstress with many awards in tailoring, Conti spent several years managing retail stores that specialized in bridal and upscale fashions, and worked fashion trade shows and show rooms in New York City’s renowned garment district.
After moving back to her hometown of New Castle, she began a career in public relations and marketing for the women’s fitness industry. Although devoted to her work, Michele never lost her love of fashion, and, after 20 years in the business, she left her job to pursue her lifelong dream of creating original designs.
“I wasn’t even sure what I was going to do,” says Conti. “Then, one day in church, the pastor referred to the well-known verse about love (John 13:34), and inspiration struck. As soon as I got home, I drew my first Inspiretees™ top! My goal had been to create an elegant, yet hip, line of inspirational Christian apparel that would spread the word in style, and I finally found a way to do it.”
Besides spreading the word, Conti says that the success of her company will serve a larger purpose, which is to spread good fortune to others. “This is an opportunity for Christian women’s organizations, churches, and others, to take advantage of my great affiliate programs, and have home parties to sell these beautiful shirts. Everyone who has become involved so far has said that it’s been a real blessing. And I couldn’t ask for more!”
