With the size and resolution, you cannot quickly see that this at full size--I placed Photoshop filters on it that look more watercolor/paintdaub-ish. I wanted to give the effect of a non photo with out the cost in time and effort to produce a real a painted piece. Dog lovers like their babies, and with the housing industry lagging here, I want to provide what they want.

Do you ever use the filters, etc. when you are finishing? Do you have any hints to pass along? Before this, I was mastering watercoloring my pen and ink renderings. I could do portraits of pets from scratch, but I wouldn't expect that I could be paid for the time it would take for the true likeness.
