Another Friday Morning

It is another Friday morning and I am having my usual coffee at a local coffee shop. I have been thinking about the week and all that God has done for me. Listing the things he has done would be boring to you because you don't know the circumstances of his grace.

What these circumstances have shown me is that God does indeed have a plan for me and that when surrendered he is more than willing to bring it to pass. While I have known this as a matter of education for many years, I have just begun to understand it in application. The problem was never God, but me.

I think many times we can all find ourselves with a "educational knowledge" of God without an "applied knowledge" of him. We know what we are supposed to do and how God is supposed to respond, but we don't really live life naturally in that knowledge. Even when we do act according to our knowledge of God it is forced rather than natural and when God doesn't "reward" our forced obedience we struggle.

What I have come to understand is that God wants us to live "simply Christian" and when our relationship with him is as he desires it to be, he is lavish in his blessings for us!
